Did very light work with Andy today to see how he looked. Lunged walk and trot both directions getting some steps of relaxation at the trot. He did take occasional off steps at the trot to the left.

Worked on upward transitions from walk to trot and canter. Switching directions was easier for him today as i think the right foot was less sore. I would like to monitor his movement for improvement. Still has a runny nose and a slight cough so kept the exercise light today.

Since Andy is on the tail end of being sick and lame in the front right foot I am trying to start him slowly back into light work. Today we worked on sending and moving him forward off of halter pressure and worked on getting him to be more sensitive to the flag. Changing directions after sending through the wall. Introduced HQ roll to him and he did well however very stiff through the neck and shoulder so need to work on that. Ended the session with stretching the poll at 45 and then 90 degrees.

Andy is very dull to flag pressure or even pressure with the stick and string. I just did a couple of basic drills with him today to get an idea of how he is doing. This is my first time working with him. He is moderately out of shape and was pretty sweaty after doing sending and leading along with general lunging he did not get worked for an entire hour since he started limping towards the end of our session. He will be getting new shoes on Thursday so I am anxious to see if that will help him feel better.
