Farrier Visit!

Aspen had his feet done for the first time since he\\\'s been at Equine Aid. He did great - minor \\\"scooting\\\" at first but he settled in nicely and had all 4 feet done in about 30 minutes. We did 30 minutes of groundwork before hand to settle his mind and he got 30 minutes of grooming and lovin\\\' afterwards to reward him for a job well done!

Special needs has been changed from Aspen is a BLM branded mustang who is believed to have been used as a "Mexican Dancing Horse". He was rescued from a feed lot last year. He is very particular about his feet being handled, but he's been making great progress and will now reliably pick up both front feet and with a little patience, his rear feet too! He has been saddled and ridden and appears to have had some training. Once we can get him desensitized to the electric razor, we'll be taking a peek at his freeze-brand and trying to get a little more history on this handsome fella! to Aspen is a mustang who is believed to have been used as a "Mexican Dancing Horse".
