Flag and Ride

Kendra has been working with Brownie with the flag, backing and not being so pushy. He is making progress in all areas. We fitted him for a saddle today and it is in the program shed. Kendra rode in the arena. Brownie seems steadfast under the saddle.

Introduced the Flag

Kendra worked on introducing the flag to Brownie in the Roundpen. She used it to create energy to sensitize and desensize him. Eventually, he was able to move in both directions, on a lead line, at various speeds. Volunteers should use caution when introducing this to him for the first time. DO NOT send him out with the flag, rather have him move out and then use energy to have him move directionally and with varying speeds and stopping.
