Ground work

Worked on giving to pressure if the halter. Bumped him continuously while lunging until he softened and quite pulling, then let him stop and rest. Also worked on just leading. When I would walk forward, he would lock up and stretch his neck out and not walk with me, so I held pressure steady until he would walk next to me. He also tried leaning away while taking the halter off, so I bumped him until he turned his nose to me, and then took the halter off

Worked in arena by Leigh Ann

Worked in the arena! He did great even with mares in the arena! Worked on trailer loading and staying straight/back out. Sending in figure 8 past obstacles. Hind and forequarter yields and practiced tying. Stands for grooming and fly spray. Rinsed off, cleaned hooves. Did much better on travel to the right! Still needs work on 2 and 3 from previous notes. Also needs work on trailer loading. Did great on practice tying.

Worked on catching, sending through doorways, and left and right. Got some great canter left circles. Got a few strides to the right canter. Better for fly spray. Did hooves and groomed.

Worked in arena over obstacles and in large circles-left and right. Hind and forequarter yields in the keyhole. Perfect to the left but struggles to the right. Needs work on catching and fly spray. Got a new stall in mini barn! He is growing up!
