Upload a photo of your horse traveling going backward or slowing down. This can be tricky to catch in a photo, but the key is to show us how you are woking with your horse to help them feel confident speeding up and slowing down. 90 Degree Right Turn at Walk: Challenge complete!

Mark this challenge complete when you are able to make a 90 degree turn to the right without losing the rhythm and cadence of the walk. Marking this complete also means the pressure required from your leg and rein is able to remain very light and the hind end could still remain in a hula hoop sized space for the duration of the turn.

Back Horse Away from Mounting Block: Challenge complete!

Mark this challenge complete when you log an activity when you are able to move the horse back and away from the mounting block, all without moving your feet. This helps keep the horse in the frame of mind to be willingly guided, not just assume that mounting block come up to the block and tune out anything else. This also helps prepare you and the horse for a moment when the horse may push into the mounting block as if running you over with his presence.

Mark this challenge complete when you are able to ask a horse to lead forward after they bring their right hind foot toward the fence. The horse should stay parallel to the fence and allow you to rub them on the withers. Ideally, this challenge is completed with a light feel on the halter and lead rope and relaxation in the horse.
