Training Milestone = TRAILER LOAD Add a photo/video and rating of your horse's current ability to load in the trailer or current progress in preparation to load. Need help? Check out the Purpose "Trailer Loading". Need more help? Send us a video for coaching.Kat will get in the trailer quietly at times, but it is not consistent. She will need quite a bit more work with this before she is dependably loading quietly in the trailer. She also feels like she has to turn and face the door, probably due to her anxiety with anyone behind her. Will work in the medical chute, hopefully that will help.

Skill Level: Red

Training Milestone = FARRIER. Add a video and rating of your horse's current ability to stand for the farrier or current progress in preparation to stand patiently for the farrier. Need help? Check out the Purpose "Farrier Preparations". Need more help? Send us a video for coaching.Kat came to us with anxiety and defensiveness about her feet, so much so that to safely trim her, she must be sedated. She kicks and strikes, and is very fearful of anything touching her hind end, and even me being behind her. This video is after about three hours of work (not all at the same time), so it is working somewhat, but I expect that this will be a very slow process. I have yet to move to her front feet as she still needs a lot of work on her hind. Hopefully we will get to the point where we are both comfortable picking up her feet, but it is not this day, sadly.
