Flag

Had Maddie tied to the hitching post to practice patience and getting used to being worked. Still working on confidence with the flag. She will move out on both directions and yield to the flag. Touched on both sides with flag. Dragged lead line with minimal fear.

Horse Image

03/21/2019 08:45

Ride

Rode Maddie for a long time today. Very spokie with anything moving. Lots of single rein stops (both directions). Working on getting her to walk not just take off. Also needs work when there is movement added (moving your hands or legs) to stand still. Fit her to a saddle and pads.

Horse Image

03/20/2019 01:45

Introduced the Flag

Maddie was very skittish today. Introducing the flag took a long time of her just getting used to it in the round pen where she had a lot of room to move away. Use caution when working with her and the flag. Make sure you are keeping yourself in a safe spot (with access for her to move away) until she has gained confidence.
