Cavassan work and roping

Worked for a long time on roping Tessa\\\'s hind end to get her to relax. She was very tight through out the session and needed her to find some relaxtion in work.

Groundwork/flag/ Ride

Groundwork, flagwork focusing on relaxing through pressure. Got on and worked on bending, rolling HQ and building up to continuous forward steps. Gets tight and worried changing eyes especially to the right, a little jumpy with legs so rolled HQ while touching her with legs and hands . Ended on a few more forward steps than before and walking a full circle before having to roll HQ. Getting better little by little.

***Horse Update***

***Horse Update*** Last week we started Tessa under saddle! We dont know if she has been saddle started before but seems unlikey. She is a nervous but sweet horse that is pretty trusting in humans. We will continue to update her as we get more rides on her and get her moving out more. We are excited to see her progress and really enjoy her temperment.

Groundwork, bridge,hose down legs

Tess did good today. We did some lunging, and practiced hindquarter yields followed by front legs yields. She was good going across a little bridge and is getting better at moving forward when walking in-hand. I had her free in the arena for a bit, to see if she wanted to canter voluntarily but it seems she prefers her trott. It was nice to see that she wanted yo come to me, she likes her cuddles. I ended up with hosing down her legs and tail. At first she didn\\\'t want to stand still, but she settled down quickly.

Ground work and walk

We did some groundwork in the round pen. Lunging, walking in hand, yielding and trotting in a small circle withh a stick on the withers. Then I took her for a walk down Wand rd. She seemed to enjoy that. She kept paying attention and had no spooks

Groundwork, ride

Groundwork(lunge/flag). Rode building rolling the hindquarters into forward walk both directions. She was a little goosey but tried her best and did well. More worried on her right side.

Groundwork, walking over tarp, cavelletis and noodles

Today we did more walk trott transitions at the lunge, and a bit of cantering but she seems hesitant to roll into a canter. Then we moved on to walking in hand, and practicing different transitions in hand. I got some obstacles out and she walked across tarp, cavellettis and pool noodles without much hesitation. I brushed her and picked her front feet.

Groundwork/ lunging / moving out when walking in-hand

I took Tessa out to get to know her a little bit. We practiced walk / trott transitions at the lunge and yielding the front and back. We spent some time desensitizing with a flag and we practiced walking in-hand at different paces.

Saddling, stepping up in stirrup. Lots of flagwork and using it to work on her finding release of pressure/fear in moments of standing still. Working on Desensitizing and handling pressure safely/correctly.
